All of us here at BuzzMG.com want to make sure that our visitors enjoy the content and activities on the site while still staying and feeling safe. We are aware that some of those that visit BuzzMG’s site are under the age of 13 and thus we want to make sure that we are following the rules.
Specifically, we follow all regulations laid out by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and the Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus. These regulations set out strict parameters regarding placement, content, and parental consent among other things.
First and foremost, we want to make it clear to all of you that we do not require any personal information in order to browse content and take part in the activities available on BuzzMG.com. The only time that we ask for any sort of information is if visitors wish to sign up for the monthly buzzReport newsletter. And in order to add an individual to the subscription list, all we ask for is a valid email address.
The email addresses that we collect are stored in a secure database and will never – under any circumstances – be sold or transferred to third parties or shared with any individual or organization outside of our staff and contracted partners. We do not allow and will not authorize any third parties to collect any kind of personal information. If, for any reason, an individual or his/her parent wishes to remove his/her email address from our database, it will be suppressed from all marketing purposes immediately upon receipt of your notification to us of your wishes. Please notify us by sending an email to: email@example.com to remove the email address from our database and stop receiving our newsletters.
Aside from using the email addresses to send out the buzzReport newsletter, they can also sometimes be used for promotional materials that we believe our customers will enjoy and use. But, an individual or his/her parent can “opt-out” of any kind of this use of your email address by emailing us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We only retain the email addresses for as long as the individual or his/her parent wishes; anyone (parent or the individual) may “opt-out” at any time by sending us an email to the above email address. We will never require an individual to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in any activity on the website as a condition of participation. At any time, a parent can access the child’s information (in this case, the child’s email address) and have it deleted and removed by emailing us at: email@example.com.
If there is any reason for our staff to request any financial information from users, be assured that it will be transmitted from your computer to our server with encryption software and only those employees who need access to that information will be allowed to review it. Any employee who violates our privacy and/or security policies is subject to termination and civil and/or criminal prosecution. Personally identifiable information is of immense importance to you and, thus, to us as well.
If you wish to opt out of future communication from BuzzMG.com, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with “OPT OUT” as the subject line and any other information within the body of the email.
Our website, www.BuzzMG.com, does not track any individual, and so we don’t use “do not track” signals. In other words, www.BuzzMG.com currently does not respond to “Do Not Track” or “DNT” signals in your Internet browsers because we don’t track you across the Internet.
