1.Tell me a little about what you do.
One of my many purposes in life is to inspire people to dream big, aim high, and live a life without limits. I do this through my writings, coaching and motivational speaking. I am an expert at birthing dreams, visions, and purpose; and I teach people to invest in their dreams. I am also known as a “midwife” to those in transition. And lastly, I’m the president/CEO of CKG Ministries, Inc, a 501c3 non-profit organization that mentors, equips, empowers, and motivates women and youth globally. I am a bicoastal conduit and though my clients are global.
2. What inspired you to start this kind of work?
During the course of my life, I have experienced rape/molestation, abuse, and much more heartaches. I decided to use my tests as testimonies so that other women and youth would receive inner healing through my former pain. I don’t believe that we are here on earth just to live, but to let live. I found out early that dreams do come true if you only believe. To sum it all up, my former pain inspired me to help others through my writings and by sharing kind words of encouragement.
3. Describe your typical work day.
A typical work day includes work within work. During the course of my day, there is networking, making phone calls, checking emails, writing (daily) goals, dreams, ideas and some coaching. I’m also, writing my third book which is due to be released in 2009.
4. What do you enjoy most about your job?
What I enjoy most about what I do is connecting with others and seeing lives changed. I love to speak into people’s lives at conferences, seminars, or one on one because I’m passionate about what I do!
5. What message would you like to send to today's youth?
The message that I would love to send to today’s youth is to never forget the history of our forefathers regardless of race or creed. America was birthed on blood, sweat, and tears for our freedom even though many of us are still living in bondage. Take advantage of every failed opportunity to improve and take advantage of your education to experience “true freedom.”
6. How can more people get involved?
More people can get involved by volunteering their time, expertise (grant writer), and finances. All donations, financial or in kind, are tax deductible through the United States IRS.
We are currently in the process of planning a youth conference; therefore, we need those who are skilled in marketing and planning. We are also desperately in need of an experienced fundraiser.
